Hi, I'm Gia Matos Ovalles. Originally from the Dominican Republic, now based in NYC and NJ.

I'm an artist working across photography and film, drawn to humanity, nature, and rawness: the small, ordinary moments that reveal something about the whole of a life, and the communities we build around them.

My focus spans 35mm and 16mm film photography, narrative short film, and editing.
